Research Area
I Data-driven Manufacturing/Fabrication Process
Our primary focus lies in optimizing manufacturing and fabrication processes through data-driven approaches to boost efficiency and productivity. A key area of our work involves developing intelligent processes through human-AI collaboration, which integrates engineers' intuitive decision-making with the analytical capabilities of AI to establish a synergistic problem-solving framework. Additionally, we are dedicated to advancing neural process control strategies to enhance the manufacturing sustainability, ultimately aiming to maximize process efficiency.
I AI-based Diagnostics, Prognostics and Explainability
Our lab also focuses on comprehensive research in AI-based diagnostics, prognostics and health management (PHM) for a variety of mechanical systems. Through the development of cutting-edge AI methods, our goal is to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of these systems. Furthermore, we are deeply engaged in the development of explainable AI (XAI) methods suitable for the manufacturing application. Our works seek to make AI decisions more transparent and trustworthy, thus facilitating the deployment of AI technologies into manufacturing workflows.
